On 21st - 22nd - 23rd June every year Senigallia hosts the European
Music Festival.
This festival started in France in 1982, and immediately became an
international event, in the following years, when participation
extended to the cities of Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest,
Naples, Paris, Prague and Rome. Senigallia decided to join this
cultural circuit. For this reason, at the beginning of Summer,
musicians, whether professional or amateur, festively invade the
piazzas, streets, museums, courtyards and parks to bring the
universal language of music to the places where people usually go
about their daily activity.
The music festival has become a local social phenomenon, capable of
exalting individual and group performances, through presentation,
listening and sharing a festival atmosphere.
Music expressed as a universal language, but also as an insight
into the peculiarities of every culture, city, and Central Square.
